{danielle and dave | married | denver botanic gardens}

Earlier this month I had the privilege of second shooting a wedding with Melissa Melendez. Danielle and Dave are so in love and such a sweet couple. They were so laid back for the entire day. Doesn’t Danielle look stunning in that amazing dress? Not to mention that she made her own bouquets! We started off at the Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver to get ready and then headed over to the beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens for the ceremony and pictures. What a dreamy place to get married! Congratulations and best wishes to the gorgeous couple!

Boomin’ Boutonnieres

Yours Faithfully, the Misses

Boutonniere is such an odd (and fancy) word. It’s almost more fun to say it while drinking wine or having high tea and pulling a sour-crout-stiff-lipped-old-lady face. And in an English or French accent of course, to go with the high tea and sometimes stiff-lipped attitude. You know, to make it seem even more fancy. (For the *Friends* fans among us, think the sour old English lady that Phoeboe had to deal with when she was stranded at home alone, pregnant with her brother’s triplets, the rest of the crew being in London for Ross and Emily’s wedding, and trying to get hold of Joey/Chandler to tell them about Rachel coming to ruin the wedding!) Anyway, that is if you even know how to pronounce it. Which I don’t. I’ve actually never even heard of the posh little word until I started exploring other ladies’ wedding blogs. So for those who don’t know (like my house mates right now)…

Katy & Colton!

ShelleyElena Photography

I’m still filled with so much joy from Katy & Colton’s wedding!  After living with Katy’s sister, Kirsten, in college, I felt completely part of their family and I’m pretty sure that everyone who knows them would say the same thing.  The wedding took place under the giant pecan trees of Katy’s grandparent’s land in Holland, Texas.  No other place could hold such special meaning for Katy & Colton, since Katy grew up visiting the River House (as they so fondly call it), it’s where the couple spent so much time growing in friendship and love, and finally where Colton proposed to Katy last year.  The wedding truly could not have happened without the amazing support of the wonderful people who love Katy & Colton.  From the ridiculously gorgeous wedding cakes made by Katy’s aunt, to the meticulously crafted details made by Katy and her sisters, to the flowers done…

ryan+allison {love.lit.up.the.night}

nathan.p.english | photo.artist

it is hard to know where to begin…

ryan and allison are simply great.  that seems like an appropriate starting point*  being back in my hometown of leavenworth, WA to be a part of the marriage day of these two was overwhelming in the absolute best ways you can imagine.

i had a few conversations with ryan prior to meeting him in person, but let me tell you..there is no better way to get to know someone quickly and intimately, than to share a three hour ride over the cascade mountains in a retro vw beetle…and that is how my adventure with ryan began.

i have had the privilege of knowing allison for..really..before i can remember.  talented, gracious, funny, and kind, she is a blessing to everyone she knows.  and let me just say, when these two asked if i might want to be a part of their amazing wedding…

Norton Park Hotel Wedding Photographer: Kerry & Sean at St Peters Hurstbourne Tarrant and Norton Park Hotel

Ideal Imaging Blog

Kerry & Sean were married last Saturday in the beautiful c800 year old St Peter’s Church in the sleepy Hampshire village of Hurstbourne Tarrant, with the morning preparations and reception taking place at Norton Park Hotel near Winchester.

Upon arriving everything looked set fair. Certainly the weather was glorious with blue skies all around and the mercury rising rapidly. But that was all quickly forgotten when I was told the unfortunate news that one of the bridesmaids had been involved in an early morning car crash and was currently in hospital awaiting X-rays and the like.  Although this inevitably had a bearing on proceedings at the hotel, the great news was that Emma was able to take her place in the day, without anything broken and largely unscathed. Less could be said for her car!

Anyhow, all the little page boys and page girls kept everyone amused during the morning…

Rustic Luxe Wedding: Felicia and Eric

Simply Southern Photography

Felicia and Eric’s rustic luxe wedding at the Peacock Inn in Newton, NC was gorgeously decorated, with details galore! But, before we show you all those details…we wanted to share a quick sneak peek from a unique session. The couple opted to follow their wedding day with a day after session on their family’s farm so that we could incorporate one of their major loves – their horses!

Eric and Felicia snuggled under the old pin oak tree, and couldn’t stop smiling!

We absolutely had to capture their pinky promise! I love how the black and white of this image brings the focus to their rings and hands, with the detail of her custom-made dress in the background.
